My Research

My research is focused on social and emotional resilience throughout the lifespan.

That means I am interested in finding out how individuals’ habitual social interactions, emotional experiences and relationships shape their well-being both day-to-day and longer term - over weeks, months, or years - and how this affects their mental well-being and cognitive health.

I use a variety of methods to investigate these issues including experience sampling, and behavioural, physiological and neurophysiological experimental studies.

Teaching

I am also an experienced lecturer in social psychology, cognitive neuroscience, statistics, and research methods.

Talks and Workshops

I am available for talks or workshops on the psychology and neuroscience of emotions, social interaction including digitalisation, and healthy aging. If you would like to host a workshop or talk with me, please get in touch, I would love to talk to you!
